Xafax Visuals has already been able to run many fantastic projects for various great customers. One of these is the recent collaboration with SchoonProproducties. Still a bit of an odd one out. Below we talk to owner Sander Schoon about how the collaboration between SchoonProductions and Xafax Visuals came about and how we like it.

What does SchoonProproducties do?
“We are an audiovisual service provider, especially in the field of live video at events. And then I mean events in the broadest sense of the word, from business conferences to music festivals and sporting events. To this end, we provide the entire video production for live broadcasts on screens, via the internet, TV or other channels.”

“ We also rent LED video screens in all formats for events, competitions and concerts and companies can contact us for promotional videos and facilities for TV shows and presentations.”

What was the situation and how did Xafax Visuals help?

“Last year we purchased a production van. That is a moving truck twelve meters long. What is normally the box of the truck, is a control room where six people can work. We have various rooms for the video technician, audio technician, etc. From there we do full video directing on location.”

“Our goal is to make video broadcasts where everything is correct. We therefore had to have screens that have good color fastness and a high resolution. Xafax Visuals supported us in this and provided advice on which screens would be most suitable for us and how we could best install them.”

“In the end we went for three 43-inch screens in the bottom row, four 27-inch screens in the top row and a 32-inch screen in between. These screens are well color calibrated. In addition, they have a high resolution and provide the most natural image possible, which is very important. This makes it easier for us to further improve the color calibrations for the publication of images and to match the color profile of the screens.”

How did you come into contact with Xafax Visuals?

“I have known Mark Metzelaar from Xafax for a long time. The building of InfoWorks, the predecessor of Xafax Visuals, was located on the same business park as where SchoonProproducties is located. So we actually know each other from the street and the corridors.”

“The vehicle we made is virtually the same in terms of equipment and equipment as that of a fellow company, with which we always do good business. That's where the idea came from. Then I asked Mark if he could help us realize a similar solution for our car."

All steps were completed quickly and Xafax Visuals immediately supplied the supplies for mounting the screens. Because we have enough handy people in-house, we agreed to take care of the installation of the screens in the control van ourselves. Mark would only play a small, advisory role in this. Ultimately, he came to our location twice to help, purely out of his own interest and curiosity. This also shows the involvement that Xafax Visuals has in the project. We are very happy with that and the result is impressive.
